Leaping Immigrants

May 4, 2006

Underneath the talk about illegal immigrants is the smell of politics. Underneath the talk about people working and providing for themselves and family members in their native countries are comments by liberal democrats who want to import voters to win the 2008 election. There were signs at many of Monday’s demonstrations that said “we march today, we vote tomorrow.”

A key player in the national drive to register more Hispanics and to predictably tell them to vote for Democrats or the Republicans will send them home is the leftist group, La Raza. They’ve formed a voter mobilization project called “Leap for Action.” Cute, huh? They’ve lept over our borders and now they will leap into voting booths once they get the right to vote; or some may vote using counterfeit documents. The dead vote in our elections, why not illegals?

We’re exporting jobs and importing voters. Liberals know they can’t win with those already here, so they think a strategy to bring in new voters beholden to them will give them Congressional victories and the White House in 2008. That’s their game. Will we let them play it?
