Lack of Outrage over Condit's Conduct a Telling Sign

"Be sure your sins will find you out" has been proved correct once again, this time in the case of California Congressman Gary Condit. According to an unnamed Washington, D.C. police source, Condit has admitted he was having a sexual relationship with intern Chandra Levy. Don't you love the way the press calls it a "romantic relationship"? No, that was what Condit presumably had when he was courting his wife, who is the innocent victim in all of this. Who will stand up for her? What lawyer does she have appearing on network TV?

Some of Condit's constituents were interviewed and said, "We didn't hire a saint." There once was a time in America when one's personal honor and integrity went with the job. The congressman has a powerful position. He used it to bed a 24-year-old woman. He misused his power by taking advantage of her. Once in America, that would have cost you your job. Now, it's just another day at the office.

Shows you where we are, morally, in America, doesn't it?
