Christian Persecution Abounds Worldwide

Are you paying attention to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East? Rebels in Syria, backed by the U.S., are committing genocide against Christians, sacking churches and threatening to "cleanse" all Christians from rebel territory. Thousands are fleeing.

In Nigeria, a bloody jihad against Christians continues. Hundreds have been killed so far this year. There are plans to kill Christians by food poisoning. The Islamic organization Boko Haram wants to purge Nigeria of all Christians.

During the recent Egyptian elections that brought the Muslim Brotherhood to power, members of the group blocked entire streets, preventing Coptic Christians from voting, and threatened Christian families not to vote for the secular candidate.

The State Department has purged sections dealing with religious persecution from its country reports on human rights.

Persecution accompanied by silence guarantees more persecution from this so-called "peaceful religion." Pray for our brothers and sisters in these countries.

I'm Cal Thomas in Washington.
