Cash Rewards for Murder

Here's a story that ought to make your blood boil: Hamas is going to pay every one of the more than 1,000 terrorist prisoners recently released by Israel in exchange for one of their soldiers. The amount? $2,000.

But wait. Hamas' rival, the Palestinian Authority, has also announced it will pay every one of the murderers a separate amount of money. As Jonathan Tobin wrote in Commentary magazine, "The PA leader, Mahmoud Abbas ... is supposed to be Israel's peace partner," yet he is paying a cash reward for murder.

And of course some, if not all, of that money will be from American aid. The U.S. sends hundreds of millions of dollars to the PA each year, and for what? Europe does the same. Again, for what? This is criminal in itself as both Europe and the U.S. are supporting terror and getting no peace in return.

Restrictions should be placed on this aid, but the Obama administration and congressional Democrats oppose restrictions. Are you angry? Express yourself.
