A Testimony Is Worth a Thousand Pie Charts

Can the Republican Party come back? Yes, it can and, yes, it must. America needs a strong two-party system. We need checks and balances lest one party become drunk with power and overreach in their arrogance. But enough about the Republicans.

The GOP needs not only new faces, but new ideas. Check that. The old ideas are good; they need to be repackaged for a generation that doesn’t remember its principles.

Republicans need to stop debating economic and other theories and start showing results and telling stories of success. While the Left is focused on gloom and doom and emphasizes victimhood and entitlement, Republicans need to be the party of dreams and success and perseverance. How about show and tell? Let the liberals sing, “We shall overcome.” Let the Republicans show people who have overcome by embracing the principles of the GOP.

Whether in church or in politics there is nothing like a strong testimony to get people’s attention. That’s the start of the way back for the GOP. They’d better get on the right road and soon.
