Wal-Mart Committed Supporter of Religious Freedom, According to New Survey

A new survey has found that Wal-Mart is very supportive of religious freedom.

Charisma News reports that American Family Association (AFA) has put together a new Religious Liberty Index which measures the degree to which corporations support religious freedom.

The Index includes a survey of seven questions for corporations to answer. The questions deal with corporate policies and procedures. After a corporation takes a survey, the survey will be scored on a scale of zero to 100.

Wal-Mart scored a perfect 100 on the survey, meaning they are very committed to religious freedom.

“We're thankful to Wal-Mart for taking the lead for American Family Association's Corporate Religious Liberty Index," said AFA President Tim Wildmon.

"We know that Wal-Mart values families, and its commitment to religious freedom is evident in its actions and in the answers provided in the CRLI survey,” Wildmon continued.  “AFA hopes that Wal-Mart will set the pace for other companies to weigh in on how they also value religious freedom, especially as religious liberties are being taken away daily across our nation."

Charisma News reports that the AFA will release the results of other companies' surveys in the near future before the holiday shopping season, so that shoppers can make informed decisions concerning what companies to support.
