Tim Tebow and Manny Pacquiao Call Each Other Brothers in Christ

Tim Tebow recently visited celebrity Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao as he worked out to prepare for a fight against American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. The star athletes reportedly connected through their faith and call each other “brothers in Christ.”

Christian Today reports that Tebow posted a photo of himself with Pacquiao on Instagram with the caption, “Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother.”

Pacquiao, who is a Filipino congressman as well as a professional boxer, shared a photo with the caption, “Good to be with my brother in Christ.”

Both Christian athletes are dedicated to philanthropy, as Tebow heads the Tim Tebow Foundation, and recently constructed a children’s hospital in the Philippines. Pacquiao is behind the charity The Word for Everyone which provides housing and education for those in poverty.

Pacquiao said, "I owe everything to God. I have to give it back to Him. The amount is nothing compared to what God has done to my life. I want to leave behind a legacy of faith and a House of God. This is more self-fulfilling than my achievements in boxing and politics."
