Tim Allen: ‘Being a Conservative in Hollywood is Like Living in '30s Germany’

Actor Tim Allen recently joked in an interview that being a conservative in Hollywood is like living in 1930s Germany.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Allen stated, “You’ve gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes.”

“This is like ’30s Germany,” he continued. “I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘you know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.'”

Allen, who spoke positively about Donald Trump during the campaign, also talked about his time attending the President’s inauguration.

The actor and comedian, known for his role in the ABC sitcom “Last Man Standing,” as well as his role in “The Santa Clause,” and other comedic films, has not shied away from making his conservative beliefs known--something which is not very popular in Hollywood.

Allen has also called out those in Hollywood as acting like hypocrites. Back in November, Breitbart reported on an interview Allen did with Megyn Kelly on The Kelly File.

“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” Allen said in the interview. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”
