Tennessee Gun Store Offers Discount for Christians

A gun store in Tennessee is offering a five percent discount on firearms for those who say they are Christian.

The Daily Beast reports that Frontier Firearms in Kingston, Tennessee is offering the discounts to Christians in the wake of the Umpqua Community College shooting. Reports of the shooting state that the gunman specifically targeted Christians

Owner of Frontier Firearms Brant Williams stated, “If Christians are going to be targeted, we need to protect ourselves.”

Frontier Firearms Vice President Eric Parish stated that the sale of firearms is now extended through the end of the month and not restricted to Christians only, but that a person of any faith will be given the discount if they acknowledge their religious affiliation.

“Religion was a part of this country’s founding, you know religious freedom. And that’s what it’s about,” Parish said. “Being able to say ‘hey I’m this,’ without getting shot in the back of the head because of it.”

Not surprisingly, Frontier Firearms has gotten a lot of flack from those who do not agree with their special discount for those who acknowledge their religious affiliation.

Frontier Firearms is also promoting their Christian Carry pins which say “I am a Christian and I carry.”

“This is America,” Parish said. “And I’m still pretty sure you can pick what your religion is without being persecuted for it.”
