South Carolina Family Who Lost Everything in Flood Finds Sign from God in Wreckage

A South Carolina family who lost nearly all of their possessions during the historic flooding last week say they discovered a sign that God was still with them.

The Blaze reports over five feet of water entered the home of Cynthia Piece. When Pierce and her husband were able to re-enter their home, they found their Bible and a check made out to their church untouched.

Pierce said that the Bible had been left on a chair and the check was on top of their kitchen table.

“When we came back, it was dry, so apparently that chair went up with the water and came right back down,” Pierce told local station WACH-TV.

It will take months for the Pierce family to be able to live in their home again, but they are leaning on their faith through the difficult circumstances.

“God has been so precious to us, and he is walking with us through this, and we know that every day we are facing is not going to be easy, but we are clinging to our faith and our God,” Pierce said.
