Saeed Abedini Meets with Father in Iranian Prison, Reports Increasing Pain

Imprisoned pastor Saeed Abedini has said that he is feeling increased abdominal pain, a result of severe beatings at the hands of prison guards and other inmates. The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) reports that Abedini’s father was able to visit with him in Iran, the first time that the pastor was able to see a family member in over a month.

“Pastor Saeed expressed increased amounts of pain. He has still not received the critical medical attention he needs in a private hospital. He needs surgery,” the ACLJ wrote.

“But most of all, he needs to be brought home.”

During the visit with his father, Abedini asked about his wife and children; the ACLJ does not know if the pastor has been told President Obama met with his family last week and promised to work for his release.
