Ruth Graham Gives Support for Noah’s Ark Replica Set to Make Voyage

Ruth Graham, the daughter of famed evangelist Billy Graham, recently voiced her support for the life-sized Noah’s Ark replica which is set to make a voyage from the Netherlands to various ports in South America this summer.

According to OneNewsNow.com, the ark is the brainchild of Dutch carpenter Johan Huibers, who built it in accordance with the instructions God gave Noah in Genesis.

The ark is preparing to make the journey to Brazil for the Olympic Games this summer.

"The Ark of Noah team is a multinational team from the United States, the Netherlands and Brazil supported by many Christian organizations around the globe," Graham stated in a news release. "They are eager to bring the Gospel message by bringing the Ark across the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil.”

Graham continued, giving her support for the project: “This is an enormous challenge God has called them to and I encourage support of this calling.”

Huibers hopes to eventually bring the ark to dock in ports on America’s west coast as well.

The ark has already attracted many tourists where it resides in Rotterdam, but this summer it will attract many more visitors as it docks in ports off the coast of Brazil, down to Rio de Janeiro.
