Report: ISIS Militants Authorized to Kill Children with Down Syndrome

An Iraqi watchdog group has reported that terror group ISIS is not permitting its militants to kill children with genetic diseases, including Down Syndrome. The report comes from activist blog Mosul Eye, which has accurately documented human rights infractions occurring in the Iraqi city of Mosul in the past.

Christian Today reports sharia judge Abu Said Aljazrawi declared it common law in Mosul to kill babies with Down Syndrome and other congenital deformities. Mosul Eye claimed 38 infants have been killed in accordance with the order so far.

The activist group said, "We recorded more than 38 confirmed cases of killing babies with congenital deformities and Down's Syndrome, aged between one week to three months. They were killed by either lethal injection or suffocation.”

On the group’s Facebook page, Mosul Eye wrote, "As if it is not enough for ISIL to kill men, women and the elderly, and now, they kill children.”
