Reality TV Star Heidi Montag Pratt Discusses Her Faith and Beauty Standards

Reality TV star Heidi Montag Pratt recently shared how difficult it is to navigate Hollywood’s beauty standards and how she has come to the conclusion that fearing the Lord is more important than outward beauty.

Pratt starred on the show The Hills, and in the years after the show, she underwent numerous plastic surgeries.

In a video for Faithwire, Pratt begins by citing Proverbs 31:30 which says: “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Pratt admitted that she has not been the best role model herself and that it is difficult in a culture which offers so many avenues to compare our outward looks with those of others on social media to maintain a healthy view of ourselves.

She stresses to women that true beauty comes from within and from following God and living true to who He created you to be.

She added that comparing yourself to others is "completely the devil and his schemes. That’s the opposite of what God wants for our lives.”

She ended the video by citing Romans 12:21 which says: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
