President Trump Has Strong Message for North Korea: U.S. Military is ‘Locked and Loaded’

Tensions between the U.S. and North Korea continue to escalate. Earlier this week President Trump said that “fire and fury” is ready to be unleashed on North Korea, while North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un threatened to strike the U.S. territory of Guam.

Now President Trump has suggested that his threats to North Korea did not go far enough. On Friday morning, the President said that the U.S. was ready to employ the military if North Korea chooses to “act unwisely,” according to CNN.com.

In a tweet, Trump said, “Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!"

North Korea has reportedly been developing long-range nuclear missiles for some time, but just recently successfully tested them.

The North Koreans reportedly now are within range to strike Guam in the Pacific Ocean or even the U.S. state of Alaska.

In reply to North Korea’s threat to strike Guam, President Trump also said, "Let's see what he [Kim Jong-un] does with Guam. He does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody has seen before."

South Korea and Japan are reportedly working to counter a potential North Korean attack, while the U.S. is urging China to do more to stop the North Koreans.
