Nigerian College Bombing Kills Eight, Boko Haram Likely Responsible

Boko Haram militants are likely responsible for a bombing of the School of Hygiene in Kano, Nigeria. The attack killed at least eight people; about 12 more sustained injuries.

There were no classes going on at the time, but new students were on campus for registration. The bomb went off near the provost’s office in a parking lot reports Christian Today

Authorities said that one suspect was apprehended, and his vehicle was impounded. Boko Haram terrorist most likely planned the attack, as the group is known to violently attack educational institutions.

On Saturday June 21, the militants opened fire on villagers in Koronginim, killing several people and destroying homes.

"Two of their leaders were giving orders that they should shoot anyone on sight...I crawled into the nearby bush and fled from there," a witness said.
