New Zealand Pastor Tells Gay Christian: 'I Pray That You Will Commit Suicide'

A New Zealand pastor’s prayer that a Christian homosexual would commit suicide has gained international attention. Pastor Logan Robertson of Westcity Bible Baptist Church in Auckland reportedly responded to an e-mail from homosexual Christian author Jim Marjoram with derogatory language and a prayer that he would kill himself.

Marjoram e-mailed Robertson along with 400 other pastors, requesting interviews about his new book which promotes gay-friendly Christianity.

Logan responded to the e-mail with the following message: “We are not interested in your filthy lifestyle or book.

“Romans 1 clearly says God has rejected homos and they are worthy of death. You cannot be saved.

“Leviticus 20:13 reads ‘If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.’

“I pray that you will commit suicide, you filthy child molesting [expletive].”

When a New Zealand reporter tried to get in touch with Logan for his side of the story, Logan declined the interview because the reporter was gay. Logan also said he wished the homosexual reporter would kill himself.

In a later interview Logan said, “I think every single one of them should be put to death,” and added that the government should be responsible for killing gays.

Marjoram said he was surprised by Logan’s response.

“The only thing I could say is what you’re preaching isn’t love. And if you call yourself a Christian… Jesus wouldn’t go anywhere near that,” Marjoram said.
