NBC Omits ‘God’ from Pledge, Again

Todd Starnes, host of Fox News Commentary, reports that NBC has omitted ‘God’ from the Pledge of Alliance.

Starnes attributes an “astute reader” for the discovery.

Apparently NBC omitted the reference to God during a commercial promoting a new spy thriller entitled “Allegiance” which premiers Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. ET.

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands,” a chorus of voices intones in the spot, writes Starnes.  “One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

NBC said in a statement to the trade industry publication Broadcasting & Cable that the decision was, “Made by a small group of people. This was a bad decision.”

Starnes maintains this isn’t the first time NBC has removed God from the pledge.

“In 2013 Rev. Al Sharpton, refused to utter ‘under God’ during a ‘Lean Forward’ commercial for the cable network,” Starnes wrote.
