Evangelist Franklin Graham is celebrating the birthday of his father Billy Graham. Christian Today reports Billy Graham turned 97 on Saturday.
In a Facebook post, Franklin Graham wrote, "He came to faith in Christ just a week before his 16th birthday and went home and told his mother what he had done. He knew for sure that his heart had changed.”
Though he is no longer able to preach, "his mind is still clear and his desire is still there to tell the world about God's love for them and how God sent His Son, Jesus Christ from heaven to earth to take the sins of all mankind to the cross, die, and arise on the third day,” Graham said.
"My father's desire is that all men and women everywhere would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and trust Him and follow Him as their Lord.”
At the same time, the North Carolina Museum of History has opened a new exhibit chronicling the life of Billy Graham. The 5,000 square foot exhibit includes personal memorabilia and interactive displays that show a picture of Graham’s life and ministry.
SRN News reports the exhibit will remain open until July 10, 2016.
