Franklin Graham Calls for Government to Take Threat of Radical Islam Seriously

The San Bernardino shooting confirmed that radical Islam is a serious threat to the U.S., said evangelist Franklin Graham.

According to Christian Today, on his Facebook page, Graham stated, “It's confirmed — San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook was a devout Muslim. Friends say he had memorised the Quran. The headlines say Farook and his wife were a couple 'bent on jihad’.”

Graham called on President Obama and the U.S. to take the threat of radical Islam seriously, and to recognize that the issue is about more than gun control.

“Take away the guns and this couple would've still slaughtered innocent civilians," said Graham."Their apartment was a bomb-making factory! It's happened in France and it's happening here. ISIS has warned us that more attacks like this are going to follow. Next time it could be a mall or a school, but until our politicians understand and admit the threat of radical Islam we're going to have more of these horrible acts of violence."

Graham also called for a stricter vetting process for Muslims who want to enter the U.S. Tashfeen Malik, the woman responsible for the San Bernardino shooting, along with her husband, Farook, was allowed to enter the U.S. on a “K-1” fiance visa. Reports have now surfaced that Malik had pledged allegiance to ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Graham also asked for prayer for the families of the San Bernardino shooting victims.
