Church Sign Proclaiming ‘Satan Made Gays' is Vandalized

A church sign that read "God created man and woman. Satan created gays and transgender,” has been vandalized.

According to The Associated Press, the sign was put up at the Back to the Bible Holiness Church in Buford, Georgia, about 35 miles outside of Atlanta.

Gwinnett County police Cpl. Michele Pihera said officers responded to an allegation of vandalism at the church on Monday. The church’s sign had been covered in black paint.

WSB-TV reports that one of the pastors of the church, Bobby Wright, says he will put the sign back up, despite the criticism it is has received.

"Same sex marriage is sin. Filthy,” Wright said, although he added that he is open to discussing the issue with the vandals who painted over the sign.

Another pastor of the church, Don Flint, said that the sign had been up prior to the Orlando shooting in which 49 people were killed at a gay nightclub. Wright adds that the shooting does not change his opinions about the LGBT community.
