Christian TV Hosts Reports Death Threats from Muslims

A Christian TV show host has been threatened to stop working on his new TV series, What Would Muhammad Do? Understanding Islam Through Muhammad’s Life.

Charisma News reports Randall Terry received a letter this week with Quranic passages that warned Terry to stop filing the show.

"Muhammad is Allah's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers ... " (48:29)

"When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefields, strike off their heads ... " (47:4)

"Let not the unbelievers think they will escape us. They have not the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your disposal, so that you may strike terror into the enemies of Allah ... " (8:59, 60)

The letter came from the Theo Van Gogh Society. Theo Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was killed by a Muslim. Van Gogh had worked on a film that was critical of the treatment of Muslim women in Islam.

"Given the brutal killings at Charlie Hebdo, and the attempted killing in Garland, Texas, we take this seriously. But this is exactly what Muslim militants do throughout the world; they seek to terrify and intimidate opponents into silence. But we refuse to be silent. We will tell the truth. Jesus told us to not be afraid of those who can kill the body, but to fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell,” Terry said.

The Terry family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to pay for security for the family.
