Children Rescued from Boko Haram are so Traumatized They Can't Remember Their Names

Children who have been rescued by Boko Haram captivity are so traumatized they cannot remember their own names, Christian Today reports.

Eighty children were rescued from a Boko Haram camp in November; the children who had been brainwashed with Islamic extremist ideology can no longer remember their identities where they came from.

Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh, director of the National Democratic Institute said after visiting the children, “They've lost touch with their parents. They've lost touch with people in their villages, they're not able to articulate, to help trace their relationships, they can't even tell you what their names are."

According to Christian Today, the children are now recovering from their time spent in captivity in an orphanage.
